Baby Found Abandonded In Random Yard, 4 Relatives Found Dead 20 Miles Away

Authorities in rural northwest Tennessee are searching for suspects after a baby was found abandoned in a car seat, while the child's parents and two other relatives were discovered dead more than 20 miles away. The baby was left in a "random" yard in Tigrett on Tuesday (July 29), with a passerby reporting a "dark-colored minivan or a white mid-size SUV" leaving the scene, according to the Dyer County Sheriff's Office. The heat index was 116 degrees at the time.

The deceased, identified as James M. Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, were found in Tiptonville. Dyer County District Attorney Danny Goodman Jr. believes the attack was targeted. The investigation involves nearly a dozen agencies, including the FBI, as they work to identify and apprehend the suspect or suspects.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box expressed the community's grief, stating, "We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served." The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is actively involved in the ongoing inves0tigation.
