The White House lawn was lined with posters displaying mugshots, as well as crimes committed by arrested illegal migrants Monday (April 28) morning.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a video on her X account showing the placards, which included the word "ARRESTED", along with mugshots, names and alleged crimes committed.
"Good Morning from The White House!" Leavitt wrote along with the clip.
White House Communications Director Kaelan Dorr also shared a photo of the signs on his X account Monday morning.
"White House lawn looks a little different this AM And they say yard signs don’t win elections…" Dorr wrote.
Several of the apparent crimes committed by the suspects including "first-degree murder," "sexual abuse of a child," "kidnapping and rape," "murder," "rape of a child," and distribution of fentanyl." The official White House logo was included on each poster Monday morning.
The placards were purposely placed in the area where news outlets film live shots, a White House official told Axios, which was the first outlet to report the presence of the signs. Last week, the New York Post reported that more than 200 known or suspected terrorists have been arrested in mass deportation raids carried out by President Donald Trump's administration since his inauguration in January.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have reportedly arrested 219 known or alleged terrorists, which is a 655% increase from the same period in 2024 when 29 arrests were made under former President Joe Biden's administration, according to new Homeland Security data obtained by the newspaper last Tuesday (April 22).
