In Jacksonville, Florida, a group of courageous bystanders intervened to stop a kidnapping in progress outside a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office. A mother and her two young children, aged two years and six months, were rescued from a potentially tragic situation. The incident unfolded in the parking lot on North Main Street when witnesses observed a man, later identified as 26-year-old Yanni Human, attempting to drive away in an SUV with the mother and children inside.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), the man was driving against the woman's will, dragging her and one child through the parking lot. More than a dozen good Samaritans rushed to the scene, managing to pull the woman and her children to safety as the vehicle continued moving. The suspect fled but was later apprehended by JSO officers using witness descriptions and surveillance footage.

Yanni Human now faces multiple felony charges, including child abuse, false imprisonment, battery, marijuana possession, and resisting an officer without violence. Authorities praised the quick thinking and bravery of the bystanders, emphasizing that their actions prevented a potential tragedy. The Jacksonville community has lauded these individuals as heroes, although their names have not been released.
