Republican's latest efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act may have come to a screeching halt after a statement from Arizona Senator John McCain who said he could not "in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal."

CNN quotes McCain in a statement saying that he believes that Republicans can "...do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried." This is the second time McCain's crucial vote has torpedoed the GOP's attempt to repeal Obamacare.

McCain said he also can't vote for the bill without a score from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, which won't be available until later this month. Republicans could only afford to lose two votes on the bill after Sens. Rand Paul and Susan Collins already opposed.

A recent poll showed that only 24% of Americans support the latest Republican repeal efforts and 50% disapprove according to the Hill
